Will Writing

A Will is defined under the Wills Act 1959 as “a declaration intended to have legal effect of the intentions of a testator with respect to his property or other matters which he desires to be carried into effect after his death and includes a testament, a codicil and an appointment by will or by writing in the nature of a will in exercise of a power and also a disposition by will or testament of the guardianship, custody and tuition of any child.”
With a valid will, your last instructions and wishes will be clearly and professionally defined to ensure your loved ones receive the best of you.
Your Will may contain provisions pertaining to, among others, the following:
  • Revocation of earlier Wills
  • Appointment of executor, trustee and guardian
  • Distribution of assets to your beneficiaries
  • Specific conditions may be given in dealing with your assets and/or beneficiaries
  • Donations to charities
  • Directions for funeral arrangements
  • and all other important messages and instructions from you to your loved ones
A Will operates as a Declaration of Intention and does not interfere with your power of disposition during your lifetime. It only takes effect on your permanent absence. Your Will ensures what you plan for your loved ones with regards to your estate, will be executed accordingly.
